Manufacturer Monday - Scrapworks

Monday, December 7, 2009

Manufacturer Monday again, and a new month = new manufacturer to highlight. Of course this is a thinly veiled attempt at me using up my stash but just go with it ok? This month is obviously all about the holidays, whatever you celebrate there is something in December for everyone, so I decided to sift through my holiday stash and see what I could come up with to compliment the season. Back in my DT days at Treasures to Scrap we were sponsored by Scrapworks and they sent us the whole Holiday line (2007?) and I used up a lot of it, but still have quite a bit left, so I decided to get that kit used up this month. Now I know what you're thinking: why on earth is she making holiday projects this late? Well I'm not! I'm making them early for next year!!! Yep all my cards are pretty much gone and outta here, just need to put the finishing touches to a few gifts (by tomorrow *ahem*) and I am DONE. So why not get ahead huh?

First up though is a project that IS for this year. I needed a bigger card to send to my parents for Christmas and the Scrapworks product was perfect. I used an old favorite sketch design of mine and whipped up this 5x7 card in 15 minutes!

The photo doesn't do it justice cos the chipboard is all glittery, which totally adds to the seasonal look! All the chipboard in this kit is glittery and really adds to the Seasonal Joy! Though it does tend to get everywhere, despite being glued down, the joys of playing with glitter I guess. Here are more cards using the Scrapworks Holiday products, all ready for the 2010 Holiday season! Yay go me! These two cards were made using an old sketch of mine from 2008. Love recycling the sketches and it really did work well for these products :)

The next card was made using last weeks card sketch. Nice and simple but with the busy papers and the glittery baubles it had enough going on. I think at some point I'll add a greeting but I couldn't decide which stamp and which color! I think the maroon ink would look good, but when I tried it on a scrap it wasn't very legible on the darker green so I left it blank for now.

Check back each Monday throughout December for more Scrapworks projects! I plan on getting really ahead for next year. In fact I am already making plans and schedules for 2010 :) Love the New Year! I always feel really productive this time of year.

More scrapbooking and cardmaking projects soon!
