Another round-up of crafty inspiration from around the Web!

A girl and a glue gun shares a tutorial on making this bracelet. I was especially interested in this because I have a hard time with bracelets. You see I have narrow wrists so most chains just slip right on and off without me noticing, so I tend not to wear them for fear of losing them. Now I feel like I have more options with this tutorial!

I've seen tutorials before on how to make your own lightboxes but this one  by (never home)homemaker seemed especially made for crafters. I really think these are invaluable to anyone who sells on Etsy or has a handmade business. Good photo's are essential to great sales! Check it out!

I love this fun market bag from Noodlehead! The pattern is available online, but I just love the bright colors! It's like all my shopping bags, just more fun! I just wanted to share because I love the patterns and colors :)

Regular readers will know I'm a tad geeky, I embrace my inner nerd ;) so I had to share Craft magazines video tutorial on making this firefox pendant. For those still stuck with Internet Explorer, Firefox is a great web browsing alternative, I tried it years ago and LOVED it. So much better than IE!

Etsy Corner
Each week I'll profile an Etsy seller, just as a heads up. Usually this is something that just caught my eye on Etsy. If you'd like to have your Etsy store featured just drop me a line either via email or link me up in the comments below

This week I thought I'd feature seller TrustHemp1320 on Etsy that creates items with natural products. I love natural direct from nature, no chemicals products and so this sellers items caught my eye, especially this Jade pendant on hemp necklace. Check out their store on Etsyhttp://www.etsy.com/shop/trusthemp1320?ref=seller_info for more natural jewellry.

More inspiration from the web every Monday!

More crafty inspiration from around the Web

Sprik Space has this printable available on her blog. Year at a glance calendar for 2011. Time appropriate! The calendar is 5x7 and available in assorted colors, check out the blog for more details.

Snickerdoodle shares with us these homemade plant markers made from spoons. I love repurposing items and these look easy enough to make. Leftover spoons can be found at thrift stores and garage sales if you don't have enough laying around the house!

Suzannah from Adventures in Dressmaking shares a little how-to on taking in an oversize sweater. I thought this one would be appropriate for all those wanting to lose weight in the New Year! Instead of buying new clothes, alter then ones you have!

I am LOVING this sweater refashion from Polka Dots and Pizza! It's a quick no-sew project and such a great idea for those slightly baggy tops that are losing their shape! Check out a full how-to on the Polka Dots and pizza blog

As I am now teaching yoga/piyo I find myself drawn to all things yoga including this Namaste pendant from Jersey608. Lots of great jewelry in her store!

Enjoy!

This week is the "oh heck Christmas is almost here" edition of crafty round-up from the web...

Delightful Order shares this quick gift idea for coffee lovers. I love quick and easy gifts and this one looks super easy to put together! Check it out Delightful Order blog.

Really hoping in the New Year that I get time to do a few more crafty projects, including crochet/knitting again. I love this little Rudolph crocheted by Amieggs too fun, so cute!

Stuck for a last minute gift? Printables are the way to go! Simply print these Naughty/Nice coupons from while he was napping for a quick and easy gift that costs nothing!

I've shared my wine charms on my blog before before I love this little twisty idea from ectetorize! Very cool right? And so festive! Perfect for those holiday parties!

Remember to share any projects you've made recently in the comments  below and they may get selected to be featured here in the Weekly crafty round up!

Happy crafting!

Etsy Store - Update for Easter!

Tuesday, March 9, 2010

Time for an Etsy store update! I've been busy lately with some Rusty Pickle papers and miscellaneous matching embellishments. One of the lines I've been working with featured some Easter stickers so I figured it was a good time to make some Easter cards!

First up is "Easter so longer for, is gone in a day" card. This card is standard invitation size (5.5" x 4.25") folded portrait format. The papers and cardstock are all sanded and the cardstock is from core-dinations so there is a blue core in the brown cardstock (love their cardstock). Beautiful rub-ons and a suede flower from Prima.

Next is "Thanks Easter Bunny" card . Great for post-Easter greetings, especially for the kids to send to the Grandparents! Again this card is distressed with the sanding technique. Beautiful flourish rub-ons, and embellished with floral shaped rhinestones.

Perfect for kids is this "Hippity Hoppity" card. Nice and simple design with real ribbon knotted and stapled for extra sturdiness. I love the sentiment on this one! Great for Easter Egg hunts I think!!!

Lastly is a "Chocolate" card that could be  used for Easter for any occasion really :) Chocolate never needs an occasion or holiday, that's what I say anyway ;) This card features sanded brads, a beautiful Prima flower, rhinestone, spiral clip and ribbon. Great for a friend, children or just a 'thinking of you' card!

More Etsy updates soon! Don't forget to check out my Etsy store for more designs!

Etsy Store

Sunday, February 7, 2010

Finally got around to opening up an Etsy store in December, and to show how busy I've been lately I only just managed to find time time to add some products! Hoping this weekend to sort through my stash of cards and list some more in my Etsy store, I have a ton of greeting cards on hand here so I just need to take some time and sort through them.

In the Etsy store I plan on selling handmade cards featured on the blog, card PDFs files you can print at home and hopefully some sewn items. The store is pretty bare bones right now, I am in the process of making a banner and making it look all pretty, but until then bear with the standard text display etc.
