"Diva Approved!" it's in the store!

Friday, September 21, 2007

New kit is up and in the store! It's called "Diva Approved" and is inspired by Bella my friend Nancy's little girl. Saw a few pics of her playing dress up and knew I had to create a kit for her! So here is the layout of Bella-bug, my muse!

Here is the full "Diva approved" kit! Contains: 10 papers, 7 solids (all papers have a linen & grunge texture); full alpha; 4 buttons; silver buckle; silver brad; silver crown brad; diva journal stamp; diva approved stamp; HRH stamp; Diva! Glitter wordart; 3 flower clipz; 3 gems with silver rim; gem flourish; 6 grosgrain ribbons; 2 knots; 2 stitching and a scallop circle paper with velvet texture. All for $4.50!

As I know some of you only want certain things, I also separated into packs. First the paper pack. All 10 papers plus the 7 solids for $2.50

The embellishment pack, full of all the bling and silver glamor! The stamps come in both a clean edge or a rub-on grungy kinda look.

And the alpha pack! Full A-Z, numbers 0-9 and punction {;"&'.} The alpha is transparent acetate, with pink inked edges. Each letter has 3 inset gems for that extra glitz, and stands 1.5" tall!

This kit is gonna be great for little girls dress-up, princesses or just your little diva's! I had so much fun creating it! Hope you all enjoy it too!

The second layout "Focus" was inspired by Ali Edwards newsletter. I blogged about my inspiration word for 2007 being Focus and wanted to do a layout about it so there it is! The journalling is inside the file folder. Did you notice too... the journalling on both is HAND WRITTEN! Go me!

Rina Kroes - Review

Monday, January 8, 2007

One of this months digital sponsors at Treasures to Scrap is Rina Kroes. Her digital kits are available at Scrapbook Elements. She has tons of kits to choose from with a variety of themes, I was spoilt for choice! In the end I chose the Remembrance kit.
The Remembrance kit is stunning! Love the soft colors and the vintage feel to this kit, the papers are just beautiful! And such unique embellishments! From the pipe and glasses to the pen! I can't get enough of this kit!

My first layout with this kit is "Lillian". I knew this kit was screaming for vintage photographs and I had this one of my grandmother that was waiting to be scrapped Loved the beaded pins and the floral papers.

The second layout I did with this kit I chose to combine with Misty Cato's template challenge at Treasures to Scrap. I'd missed doing Decembers so I wanted to get right back on track! I'd done a layout of blues and beige so I chose the browns and greens on this one!
The Frames in this kit and embellishment are just stunning! Loved the ribbon slide (must have cos I used it on both layouts!) and the wordart is beautiful! All round a GREAT kit especially for vintage photos!

On top of all that Rina is sponsoring a fabulous contest at TTS this month! The digi do-over contest! Awesome stuff! Thanks Rina!

Crafty Keepsakes kit - No Limits!

Tuesday, December 26, 2006

That's the name of the new kit from Crafty Keepsakes. I got mine today. Loving it! Sneak preview : 3 bugs "Maverick" papers with Piggy Tales "little boy blue". Just love the combo! With some yummy Heidi Swap goodies, and the ribbon? Wow! its to DIE FOR! Really!
My last post about change and the kit being called "no limits" has me thinking. Change is coming, I feel it. Not just in my creative life but personal life. I am changing. So much has happened this past year I think its inevitable that change is coming. Each New Year approaches and I start to think about goals for the upcoming year. What do I want to acheive? I've been working lately at expanding my style, not changing it but growing, again its changing. I've been working with some older 3 bugs stuff and I am LOVING the projects I have created. I know that I need to create more for me but also I need to think outside the scrapbook page. I've done 2 altered projects and LOVE them, I mean really LOVE them. Its been so refreshing to get out of that 12x12 page for a change. It's been a while, too long! I'm at a planning stage in my "change". Anyone that knows me knows I am a big planner, and list maker. One more week till the New Year! One more week! I need to plan, organise, get on "my mission". I need to refocus, something I've known and felt for a while but I really do need this for 2007.

Yep lots of changes coming!

Lets get digital.... digital

Saturday, November 11, 2006

I wanna get digital... lets get into digital! (sung to Olivia Newton Johns "Physical")

I spent the better part of yesterday afternoon digital designing. Spink at scrapstreet challenged us designers to make a digital christmas embellishment to put in the store.
Well I made these tags
Which naturally needed brads
Which lead to photo turns
then I did this mock up for the store
which lead to ribbons
After I did this I added ric rac
and buttons
and staples!
Now I just need to get the papers done and I have a FULL kit!
So yeah guess what I'm doing today? lol!
I'm hooked its official!

On that note I am proud to announce that my FIRST kit, Simplicity went on sale this week at Scrapstreet. I am stoked to see something I designed in the store! Being on the digital team at scrapstreet has helped me so much in my digi scrapping! I've learnt so much there!

What's weirder than that? Seeing people USING my kits! Its really weird! I've seen a few layouts with the Thankful kit and it blows my mind! That mini kit has been downloaded 44 times so far this month! 44 people wanted it! Wow! Some great layouts too! Even people that have never done digital! I've reached new people! Amazing! I'm floored! Thank you all!

On a paper scrapping note: I got 2 more cards picked up by Ready Set Create! That makes 9 projects in the Dec/Jan issue! Yay!

Crafty Keepsakes September Kit

Wednesday, September 6, 2006

Sharing another project made with the September Crafty Keepsakes kit. This is an altered photo album from the dollarstore. I hope to get the inside done this month. The idea came from fellow DT member Angel (Babydoll) who had posted a journal for her 'to-do' in the house list. I had wanted somewhere to put my inspiration for the house/garden and this is it. The inside white pages have existing frames to slot photo's in. I plan on putting large pull out tags in (with tabs) for each area, and possibly a before and after photo.

You know what's strange? I loved the 3 bugs papers in this kit, yet I've used the scenic route papers more! Weird! I never saw myself as a scenic route scrapper yet here I am using it alot lately! I am working on some cards next using this kit, any hopefully more layouts.

Gotta say I love the quote and the colors! The add ons rock! So excited to be helping Angela in this new project!
