Card Sketch Nov #2

Wednesday, November 14, 2007

Hey it's Wednesday! Where did Tuesday go? Did you miss me? Bob came home early on Monday with a bug, turned out to be some 24 hr thing, which I promptly came down with yesterday lunchtime. Dizzy spells, headache, nausea, feverish and just plain yukky. Went to bed early last night and feel much better this morning. So apologies for no blogging yesterday. I had a great Tuesday morning if that counts? Ok onto this weeks card sketch. As usual the digital template is available for download here

Love this one. I've been thinking about things more when I'm making the sketches, what techniques could I add. Is it balanced. Shall I put the sentiment here, here or here, or leave it off completely? Remember the sketch is just a starting point, just something to inspire you. You can follow it as is, or switch it up, change it around, just play with it! Here is my card from this weeks sketch.

Supplies: Paper: SEI (paisley & petals); Rub-on: Karen Foster

As usual I sent the sketch out the card sketch girls a week early and here are their creations! Love this card by Kelly, yellow is such a great fun color for a card and really pops off the white. Don't you love the embossed cardstock? Makes me want to drag my embossing tools out from my stash.

Card by Kelly Nelson
Supplies: Supplies: Stampin Up Ink, polka dots and paisley stamp, organza ribbon and cardstock, scrap patterned paper, versamagic and versamark inks, peelcraft alphas, pebbles inc chalk

Great hybrid card from Wendy. Love the matching paper and flower image. The lacy trim really adds a great touch! Love how she pulled the colors into each element on the card.

Card by Wendy McGlinchey
Supplies: Image and patterned papers from the Joanna Sheen 'Say it with Flowers' CD, white card base, black card, a length of lace, sticky backed pearl, stamped greeting.

Loving the stitching on Jolene's card! The felt accent really works well with the color scheme and papers. Perfect card for the fall, or thanksgiving.

Card by Jolene Johnston
Supplies: Paper Reflections cardstock, My Mind's Eye papers, Colorbox chalk inks, Queen & Co. felt ribbon, machine stitching

Love this card by Jo! Too cute, great use of the Heidi Grace papers, perfect for a baby girl card. The circle embellishment really works well on this card too!

Card by Jo Willis
Supplies: DCWV cardstock, Heidi Grace (baby girl) paper, Heidi Grace sticker, Heidi Swapp chipboard alphabet, American Crafts rub-on. White Signo pen, Papermania gems and unknown brand of ribbon.

Love this digital card from Angela. Totally fun, great accents and what a fun daisy trim! And loving the digital glitter!!!

Card by Angela Shetzer

Pearl as always brings her own style into any card! Totally fun, fresh and funky! I love the paper paired with the felt flower and button embellishment! Too cool!

Card by Pearl Liu
supply list : Bazzill CS , SEI Ally's Playgroup pp & ribbon , O Scrap felt flower , SEI Hippie Chick button, Deja View sticker sentiment

After a couple of weeks vacation Mom is back on the card making! Yep for those that didn't know my Mom is on my sketch team. I love the green and white, and that flower really pops off the page! Great job!

Card by Linda Flinders

As usual hook me up in the comments if you do the sketch and I'll come check it out!

All of the displayed cards from your template are really beautiful. Anyone would love to be the recipient of any of these cards of love. Love the baby card and its awesome depth and color. Lovely surprise to hear that your Mother is a member of your team. You are fortunate to have her and now I know where your innate talent line started. Her choice is just awesome. The technique that she used on that card flower gives it as three-dimensional appearance. That touch of yellow pattern on the white really makes it pop. Thanks for the perfect card template.
