The best-laid plans...

"The best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry"

That's the saying right? As always I plan something, like say the layout a day challenge at Big Picture Scrapbooking and life has a way of popping up slapping me in the chops and saying "oh no you don't!". Yep I managed THREE days! THREE! Is that not sad? Thursday was a busy busy busy day! I popped into Michaels to arrange classes for February (yes that's a little hint that I'll be teaching classes soon. If your in the local area, I'll be posting details shortly). Then Friday I got some happy news which kinda put the brakes on everything I was doing and made me switch directions. So yeah, good news but all my plans for January ended right there! The last couple of days DID make me realize that organization is going to be KEY this year! Definitely!

In other news I finally made some decisions about the new sketch team! Emails will go out later today to the new team members, once I cut one more from the YES list. Man it's hard! I really wanted to take everyone, but once I realized how many people that was, it just wasn't feasible! I *think* I came to a good compromise though!

Sharing some projects for Boxer Scrapbooks that I did recently. Did you know they manufacture calendars? All sizes, and there are sticker sheets to make adding dates and months EASY!!! Plus the new papers to go with the calendar suit all themes and months. I had the Summer stamp set along with the Calendar set so here are my 8x8 Calendar pages for June, July & August (other months to share soon!).

June for us here in California is the start of the Summer heat. What says Summer here is the Oranges in our garden. Not that they don't grow all year round, but it's only when the weather gets warmer that I feel like eating them. I should eat them more often really!

July naturally has to be Independence Day! The new Independence theme papers make this type of layout easy. I added a star stamped strip with the stamps from the Summer set.

August is the month that we spend just about every spare moment by the pool. The Summer stamp set is PERFECT for this type of layout, and I am LOVING this citrus color striped paper. Just yells Summer!

Boxer Products: 8x8 Calendar; Calendar stickers; Summer Stamp Set; Calendar Stamp Set; stripe paper; brads; Cardstock by DCWV; orange tab from office supply store

More calendar pages to come soon!

Ok, you're killing me with all the "secret news" and "exciting happenings." When can you spill?? And congrats, too, on everything that's going on.

Congratulations on your exciting news. Are you going to share?

You are quite the busy woman!

Looking forward to hearing what you have to share.

Thanks for trying to help me the other day. Unfortunately the code you gave me doesn't work and I still didn't get the download. Can we try again and maybe give me specifics on how to get the correct download?

I tried emailing you back that night, but maybe it went to spam again.

Thanks!

Congratulations on the classes at Michael's! Wish I lived closer...
Great calendar pages, those are pretty much the only calendars I've ever used were the Boxer Scrapbook calendars! They're perfect and easy to use! :) and tough too--not flimsy...
Have a great week!

No, I didn't know that Boxer made calendars *and I don't think my budget needed to know that, either!*

If plans are going to go awry at least it should be for GOOD news! congrats & enjoy the changes :)
