Manufacturer Monday - Reminisce wk2

When I chose Reminisce for this months featured manufacturer I was sure I wanted to use up my Halloween products. I got their line in a DT kit a year ago and had lots left over. One thing with Halloween lines is they are always fun to work with.

The bag is from a template, just fill it up and staple the top, just something different than the usual cellophane bags with toppers.

Saturday Stash Challenge

After some thought I decided to change the Stamping Saturday to Stash. Usually when I start projects I start with a theme in mind, or sketch, or product. Now, once a week I will pick out one or two oldest things in my stash and create SOMETHING with it.

This is a quick card using OLD paper, I'd estimate 3 years old paper. The pale pink papers on the card are left overs from projects done recently. The flowers are brads, and approximately 18 months old. Stamps are less than a year old, but the pens are 2 years old. Simple design, but quick and uses scraps and old stash :) Seeing the supplies go down, and card pile go up, makes me happy :) In hindsight I wish I'd scalloped the edge of the cardstock, but it's stuck down fast (ATG gun) and so I call it done!

Theme Thursday - Christmas Cards!

Looks like a few of you are joining in on the Christmas in July theme and preparing for the Holiday Season! Good for you! I made a few cards for this week so I am on track for my cards needed by December 1st.

Often when I'm making stuff for myself I look around to see what's already out on the scrap table. When I sat down to make these cards I'd been tidying up and noticed the paper on top of a pile that had no 'home'. So I just used it rather than putting it away, lol. The paper is printed with the squares and stitching making these quick and easy cards!

I will say that I have quite a collection of Christmas stash. Not really sure where it all came from but it seems to multiply when I'm not looking. I guess the biggest problem is in the past I seemed afraid to use stuff incase I'd find the perfect project for it later on (chipboard especially). My goal now is to USE it!

I'm happy to say that the snowflakes are done, gone and used up. The tree charms I think I have one or two left. Unfortunately that hardly made a dent in my supplies, lol!

For these I also used some old DCWV paper for envelopes. Gotta use that stash! Just pick a coordinating color and make some envelopes. Also I picked these rub-ons up at the post-holiday sales so I probably bought more than I needed, but I did buy them 2 years ago and still using them!

Card Sketch July #3

It's Wednesday again! Doesn't seem minutes since the last card sketch yet here is another. This one is based on a card I made EONS ago. ok not quite but it's probably 2-3 years ago. It could be kept nice, clean and simple with cardstock, or you could make it more involved with lots of patterns. You know me, my preference is clean and simple :) As usual for the digital people the layered template is available free in my store for a limited time, snag it while you can.

As I said this is a card design I've used before so I went a little different with it. The weekend I made this card I was sorting through my stash and out popped this paper from way back when. It's all pre-printed and I figured it'd fit the sketch perfectly with very little real work needed from me :) My kinda cardmaking that! Added a rub-on, a sticker and a bit of ink and ta-da!

Lots of inspiration below from the sketch girls, some of whom got inspired and jumped on the "Christmas in July" theme for this month, totally their choice, but I love em for it! From simple, stamping, rub-ons or complicated there is something for everyone from the sketch girls. They sketch girls totally need a name though don't you think? I was thinking Diagram Diva's but I think the whole Diva thing is a little played out. If anyone has any suggestions let me know!
