Points to consider

1 - Good: I got my Creating with Paper guest design team kit! Very cool stuff! Very colorful and fun!
2 - Bad: I have WAY too much OLD patterned paper! Need to purge some! I have become a paper snob!
3 - Good: I am kicking out layouts for competitions today (2 done!) cos I'm trying to get ahead for my parents arriving tomorrow!
4 - Bad: Parents arrive tomorrow and I'm not ready! *runs around like headless chicken!*
5 - Good: I am using more embellishments
6- Bad: No Studio Friday today I don't have time :(
7 - Good: I am learning to prioritise!
8 - Bad: Not enough hours in the day!

This is one of my competition entries into Fear Factor. I used rusty pickle, scenic route, 7 gypsies from the Feb Scrapologie kit! Yep I still have that hanging around, and the March hardly touched, and Aprils. The new kits go up for sale soon and I just love them! Darn Ranjini and her awesome kits!

Prioritising

So I am gonna be SO busy over the next couple of weeks. Still working on DT projects for Crafty Keepsakes. My parents arrive on Saturday for their vacation. And I have my guest spot at creatingwithpaper in May. As such I am prioritising this week. Less time spent on 2peas and other message boards, concetrate on DT boards, lurk at others. I need to get DT stuff done for Crafty Keepsakes, problem is my head is just BUSTING with ideas! I made the mistake of flipping through "the big picture" again last night and I'm fired up again! I should really read through my books more often! I'm still waiting to get Cathy Z's new book - clean and simple the sequel. And Ali has a new book coming out, and Elsie has one in a few months too!

I also have lots of alterable projects I want to do. First things first got to get back to the monthly commitment at crafty keepsakes :)

First Desing Team layout =)

So I did my first DT layout last night. Not gonna post it cos they want a 2 week exclusive. So to see it go to my gallery at Crafty Keepsakes.

Loving the Karen Foster Friendship line, the rub-ons are awesome! And me scrapping with pink again! Weird! Loving the striped paper too! I also did a tag with the scraps from the layout, and have plans for a mini album with the rest of the Friendship line. Angela offers a kit with the papers; cardstock; tags and rub-ons too. How awesome is that, all the work done for ya, just add it all straight to your cart!

Sunday Scribblings - chocolate

Chocolate - oh how I love thee.
Seriously.
Although it seems you do not love me.
As I savor each milky mouthful.
Later I know I'll pay the price.
You see I have eczema and migraines
and one of my triggers?
Is the delicious, and silky - chocolate

So for now I'm content with the occassional peice
just to keep my skin and mind at ease.
I settle for carob for my sweet cravings
In the end I guess it all works out
for I don't have migraines, eczema and...
it stays off my hips as well ;)

Studio Friday - tools of the trade

Target dollar spot oh how I love thee! I think these are supposed to be for gardening. Small metal tins and packs of metal stakes. Saw them on Ali's blog a few days ago and been waiting for a Target near me to stock them! Now what am I going to DO with them? No idea.. yet! They currently just look pretty on my windowsill. Isn't that enough?

It's a good mail day!

So Monday I finally made my first DT order at Crafty Keepsakes. Today I got my goodies! The stuff is so much nicer in real life than on a screen! Naturally I got the dog stuff ;) Some gorgeous doggy papers, charms and clips from Around the Block. And after a great deal of thought I went with the Karen Foster Friendship line. Let me tell ya that these papers rock! And the rub-ons are soooo cute! Angela the store owner also put me a little extra in :) A sheet of junkitz essentialz paperz. Do you see it just up in the top left? Yep its SPOTTED PAPER! Perfect for me! Loving it all, and I have LOTS of ideas to use it =) off to CREATE!
